Last Thursday DH and I took off work a little early to meet the installers at our house to get our new carpet installed. It is SO nice!! I would have liked a shade lighter but DH wanted this one - I have to let him have his way sometimes. :) Haha. After they were done with that we worked really hard to get the house put back together, it was a mess! Having furniture from 3 bedrooms in your kitchen and living room is a disaster! We got most of it put back where it belongs, the baby's room is still empty and we still have an old dresser and my son's toy box in the kitchen... :( Hoping to get that out of there really soon but they are both too heavy for me to help move - especially the toy box. DH wanted to get rid of the toy box but my dad made it for my son so that is something that I will NEVER get rid of!
Friday morning we got up early to head to Kentucky with some great friends to do the Bourbon Trail. We were picked up at our house in a limo around 7 and headed to Kentucky. It was a very fun trip and so nice not to have to worry about driving or navigating. Just tell the driver where you want to go and sit back and relax. The Bourbon Trail consists of 6 brewery's - to hit all 6 you have to split it up into 2 days so we planned to hit the 3 northern brewery's and if we had time there is a 7th that is not part of the Bourbon Trail that we were going to go to. We did not make it to the 4th one, we didn't even make it to the 3 we originally planned. Haha. We first went to the Jim Beam distillery, it was beautiful. After we finished there is was already lunch time so we went to a restaurant that someone at Jim Beam recommended. By the time we go done there it was already 1pm and most of the tours ended between 3 & 4 so we were pressed for time. We headed to the Makers Mark distillery - this was a WAY better tour than Jim Beam. Jim Beam was full of history and didn't really SHOW you much. Makers Mark however, they took you through the whole process of making their bourbon and you got to actually see it all happen. It was really neat to be able to see the process go from grain to putting the finished bottles in boxes to be shipped out. They hand dip the top of each bottle in wax so in the gift shop you could buy undipped bottles and they let you dip it. DH got a bottle and dipped it - he says he will NEVER open this bottle, we will see! By the time we got done there it was too late to make it to the last tour at the 3rd place so we headed to Joes Crab Shack for supper... Big mistake - I HAVE BEEN CRAVING CRAB LEGS EVER SINCE!! Ugh. It was SO good! This trip was mainly to celebrate 2 guys birthday so one of the girls went to tell the waitress... Poor guys! Haha. One had to put on a shark fin and the other a grass skirt and coconut bra and run around the restaurant while everyone sang happy birthday! After supper we headed home. It was a long day but SO fun! Can't wait to go back and finish the tours!
Since we got home late my son stayed all night with my dad and step-mom, they were helping my step-brother and his family move out of their house and didn't get home until 2:30!! Saturday I went to my dads and picked up my son and came back to town to get ready for his baseball game. He got me a Mother's Day present and was DYING to give it to me! I got him to hold off until after the game but that was about as long as I could keep him from giving it to me. He got me a card and money to take me to see the movie Avengers, not sure this was actually for me! Haha. So we made plans and went to the movies on Sunday. The movie was good and I always enjoy spending time with my son and DH.
Monday I took off work early to go to Hagertown, IN with DH to deliver his MMA gym equipment to some people that were buying it. THAT WAS A LONG DRIVE!! 3 hours each way in an uncomfortable box truck when you are 29 weeks pregnant! But the gym stuff is gone so it was totally worth it!! We got back just in time to pick JJ up and take him to his baseball game. They play 6 innings or 1 hr 45 min whichever one comes first - we were in the 5th inning with about 10 minutes left before we ran out of time and were down 6-11 with 2 outs and JJ was up to bat with bases loaded. I was SO nervous!! He got up there and hit a line drive between 1st and 2nd - I so thought he was going to get out and that would be the end of the game... Not very optimistic, I know.... BUT he made it to first and when they threw the ball to first the kid dropped it and with that one little mistake JJ and the 3 players that had already been on base all made it home!!! We were back in the game!! 10-11! It was SO exciting! All the kids were giving JJ high fives and chest bumps! We ended the game 13-11 and some very happy kids!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE watching all the games but when something like that happens it just makes it that much better! :)
Tuesday we worked 10 hours (trying to make up some time from taking off early Monday) and then went home to meet my in-laws and take them to supper.
Wednesday - I am working 10 hours again today... UGH! This girl is tired!!
Thursday - I will only be working 8 hours but will still have to get here SUPER early because I have a doctor's appt at 3. I will update any news after the doctor appt about the baby. It will be a routine appt - weight, measure stomach, ask me if I am having any problems, see you in 2 weeks kind of thing... I can't believe how close it is getting. Part of me feels like this pregnancy is taking forever and I have been pregnant for SO long and the other part of me feels like it is going SO fast! I can't wait to meet this little guy that is dancing around or maybe he is doing jui jitsu inside of me but I will be sad too. This is probably the last time I will ever get to experience this and I LOVE it! Yes, it gets uncomfortable and I have to get up a hundred times a night to pee but when I sit here and feel him moving around inside me - I forget about all that.
Sorry for the long post.... Did not mean for it to be that long but a lot has been going on......
Aww glad he won the game! U need to post belly pics on here:)
